Welcome to Reception

This is an overview so parent and carers are aware of what children will be learning this half term.

PERSONAL, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Focus on school rules and co-operating through Circle Time. Children will be introduced to the idea of making, keeping and adding to their own scrap book throughout the year to celebrate and remember good memories, this will be made in school and kept in their star boxes.

COMMUNICATION, LANGUAGE AND LITERACY

At home: sing a range of nursery rhymes, ask your child to say the words that rhyme.  Regularly read your child’s home reader book and other books with your child.

PROBLEM SOLVING, REASONING AND NUMERACY
